"Jeremy's sound is sometimes reminiscent of the Dave Mathews Band, and
other times it reminds me of G. Love and Special Sauce. But it is not
derivative. Instead it is unique and familiar- a near perfect combination."
- Hilary, 91X San Diego
Jeremy Kay has been playing live across Southern California for many years, only recently slowing down his live efforts to concentrate on studio work. Whether with a full band, or stripped down acoustic, Jeremy captivates audiences with his soulful voice. He has toured with Crosby Stills & Nash and Dan Hicks & the Hot Licks as well as becoming a regular guest at Lake Mission Viejo's Summer Concerts, opening for Pat Benatar, The Bangles, and Joan Osborne.
Jeremy has an extraordinary list of movie and television credits. His songs have been used in top-rated television shows from ABC's Boston Legal, CBS's Numbers, NBC's Scrubs, to MTV's Real World, Undressed and many more. If you have seen The Wedding Planner, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once and Again or Smallville, you've heard Jeremy's creative genius echoing somewhere in a scene.
All across the country, people are taking notice. Jeremy's original music has
appeared in a myriad of hit movies, TV programs, video games, and extreme sports
videos. His previously released CD (2001), titled Jeremy Kay, gained airplay on commercial
radio in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Eugene, Taos, Aspen, and Anchorage, among others.
You may have heard "Have It All" in the new WB series "Young Americans." MTV has also used Kay's "Skin is Too
Thin" on their series "Undressed."
Also, J. Kay is part of an all-star line-up including Paul McCartney, Beck,
Ben Harper, James Taylor, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Everclear,
Snoop Dogg, Pearl Jam and Jimmy Buffett who have contributed songs to the
MOM 3 album. MOM 3 is the Music for Our Mother Ocean benefit CD that
